IBIZA - SPAIN - PART 2
Within a couple of days of being in Ibiza we had settled into the routine of being out until between 3 and 8am and sleeping large chunks of the day.
The first week we paid for a series of activities organized by the holiday reps. Most of them were bar crawls at night and "cheap" nights at the various clubs. We did go to a water party during the daytime but that was about it. The above picture was taken on an evening boat trip.
Ibiza might be famous for it's nightclub scene but just to walk through the door of some of them costs a small fortune. Entrance fees of 30 pounds were nothing unusual which is about 3 times more than I paid to get in anywhere back home in the next 10 years!!!!. We only paid one of these shocking entrance fees once and to be honest we were not the hardcore clubbers (unlike many others) who cared which DJ happened to be on. We did get a cheap entrance to a club called Eden one night. Most of the time we ended up in the all night bars.
The bar crawls we went on were mad to say the least. That was easily the most alcohol (for one week) I had ever drank in my life. Even the reps looked at us in disbelief which said it all. The above picture is of us drinking pints of vodka and redbull.
We did however question the point of why the reps were trying to get us all so out of it by 10pm when the club we were going to end up in was open until 8am the following morning. On the Wednesday night we all got split up and I ended up at a foam party with a load of strangers.......
Out of the 7 of us Scott, Lee and myself were the mad ones of the group where Gavin (pictured centre) was always the first one to head back to the accommodation on a mad night out.
The drug scene in Ibiza was open to the point of where it could be described as being given out like chocolate at a kids party. Only one of our group (who shall remain nameless) got involved with that the rest of us were happy with just drink.
