Final stop after a scenic bus ride was Faro which as first impressions go looked a nice spot to stay for a few days. The hostel was a nice place with a great rooftop area. I quickly discovered the only person staying there was a dutch cyclist who was recovering from an injury. From him I discovered that I’d practically seen most of the old town just walking from the bus station.
I had to move out of town to see something so I walked the full 20-25 km round trip to nearby Olhão when I got back around 2:30pm I did the hour boat trip to a nearby island around Ria Formosa. Tired when I got back and felt I’d had a productive day so didn’t mind not having anything to do at night.
